Campervan shopping

The day before we left London, Paul and I went online to show my sister Su and her husband Rob examples of campervans for sale in Santiago. Rob and I laughed when Paul found is one:

Well, guess what...

No!  We haven't bought it, but we did go to see it.  It's pretty cool!  A 4x4 Kia truck with a converted container on the back.  It's got a permanent bed above the driver's cabin, a seating area with storage underneath that converts to a bed, 40l water tank and sink, chemical toilet, microwave, fridge, air conditioning....

The driver's cabin though is er...

Paul likes the look of it though

It was all hooked up to the mains today so we are going back tomorrow to check out the engine.  Hopefully going to see another one tomorrow too.  Our other option is an empty van which we can have converted to our liking.  Paul and I thought that option might take too long, but Mario says it can be done in 5 days.  When he said that, Paul and I were like "Really?!" Mario goes "I'm a fixer, anything is possible!" Love this guy!

Today's gratuitous food pictures:

Yes, these are doughnuts (or Berlins) sliced across the middle to insert the filling (L-R: custard and dulce de leche)
