Weekend in NYC

Punchdrunk in New York was wicked! Sleep No More is a Punchdrunk take on Macbeth, set in an old creepy hotel and with hardly any dialogue. There are something like 100 rooms to explore. Again, couldn't really follow the story but it was still an awesome experience. Nigel got kidnapped and was fed tea and told a creepy story by a nurse! If I had more money and longer in New York I'd go again and try and figure out what was going on.

Saturday day was spent doing a three hour leisurely walk with Jess and Nigel's dog, Millie, back from the dog park (they have little enclosed public spaces where you can let your dog run free with other dogs!)

We had lobster rolls from Luke's on the way back (yummy!) and Korean hand-torn noodles & chicken soup, and kimchi pancake in Koreatown before Punchdrunk.

Yesterday (Sunday) we had a BBQ on Nigel and Jess's rooftop. They have sunloungers, big tables and gas BBQs up there, as well as an incredible view. Dan, Dangi and Natalie, whom we met at Nigel and Jess's wedding in Italy last year came too - was great to see them again. Natalie's family is from Chile so she annotated our guide book with things to do and see!

Today we went to Central Park. Paul seems to have some sort of bug as he was feeling a bit groggy, so we took it easy. We cycled a bit and then walked along the High Line, which is a disused elevated railway line which they've turned in to a pleasant walkway lined with plants. There are a couple of points where you can just sit above the road and watch the world go by. Pretty cool.
